In 2017 I decided that I needed to claim back a little of the woman I was before becoming a mother, and I started a booktube channel called Tired Mama Tries to Read. It was so much fun and for three years it inspired me to read more books than ever before. Then 2020 happened and it started to feel like the channel needed to adapt. There was so much fear in the world that reading became more difficult and my mind expanded outwards to what I might do for our planet. I took a step back from the channel that had served me so well throughout my battles with anxiety and emetophobia, a channel that had made me new bookish friends across the world, and had a think. All that thinking ended up here! With Bookish Mama Grows. A new channel with all the books and MORE. Environmental tips, chats about parenting, personal accountability, mental health and maybe even some gardening. This blog will be a place for me to expand upon any topics that come up in my videos - because whilst I love jabbering, I'm actually better at writing. Welcome!
